Dr. Soderstrom, a native Nevadan, is a 1993 graduate of the University of Missouri-
Columbia. He completed a small animal internship at Sonora Veterinary Specialists
and a surgical residency at Oklahoma State University. Following his residency, Dr.
Soderstrom accepted a clinical instructorship - postdoctorate in Neurology at North
Carolina State University. He is currently pursuing board certification by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Soderstrom's professional interests include medical and surgical neurology and general surgery. Dr. Soderstrom remains active in practice, academic, and research endeavors. Outside of veterinary medicine
Dr. Soderstrom enjoys kayaking, biking, and camping with family.

Dr. Gilson, a native Southern Californian, is a 1986 graduate of theUniversity
of California at Davis. He completed a small animalinternship at Colorado State
University, and a surgical residency at North Carolina State University. He
became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1992.
Dr. Gilson has over 40 professional publications in the areas of surgery and oncology, and has made numerous speaking presentations at international, national, and regional meetings. Dr. Gilson currently heads Sonora Veterinary Specialists. He serves on the board of directors for Southwest Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Gilson remains active in practice, academic, and research endeavors. Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Gilson enjoys skiing, sailing, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Lillian Rizzo did her undergraduate at the
University of New Mexico followed by veterinary school at Cornell University.
After completing an internship at Sonora Veterinary Specialists, Dr. Rizzo went
on to complete a surgical residency at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Rizzo
became a Diplomate of the American College Of Veterinary Surgeons in 2005.
Professional interests include all aspects of soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Rizzo has advanced training in the areas of TPLO, neurosurgery, stem cells, and wound management . In her time off, Dr. Rizzo enjoys outdoor sporting activities and spending time with her family.

Dr. Jonathan Schnier graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in before completing
an internship in AZ, followed by a residency in Prince Edwards Island. Dr. Schnier became
a Diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine in 2008. Professional interests
include Internal Medicine – Immune mediated & Endocrine disease, Gastrointestinal disease, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Liver disease, Renal/Urogenital disease, Respiratory disease – Bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), rhinoscopy (nasal endoscopy), Oncology and Chemotherapy as well as Emergency and Critical Care. His interests include SCUBA diving, skydiving, kayaking, and alpine skiing with his family.

Dr. Akiko Mitsui spent her younger years in Tokyo as well as Chicago, and NYC.
She completed her undergrad at the International Christian University in Tokyo
and received her veterinary degree from Cornell University. After completing an
internship at Animal Medical Center (NYC), Dr. Mitsui completed a combined
residency with North Carolina State University, University of Florida, and Sonora Veterinary Specialists
Dr. Mitsui's primary interests include soft tissue surgery and surgical oncology. Outside of work, Dr. Mitsui enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling, and dining out with friends.

Dr. William Linney was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to South Bend,
Indiana during high school. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from
Purdue University in 2003 and entered general practice for the next 3 years in northern
Indiana. After deciding to pursue advanced training and certification in surgery, he
completed an internship with Sonora Veterinary Specialists in 2007. He then moved to Chicago, Illinois and completed a 3 year surgical residency at Norwood Park Animal Hospital in 2010. Dr. Linney enjoys all aspects of both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and has a special interest in both cancer surgery and orthopedic conditions of the knee. He has published regarding the surgical treatment of medial patellar luxation in dogs, and is trained to perform the TPLO surgery for cruciate rupture. He has been extensively involved in volunteer work for veterinary organizations, including serving on the board of his local veterinary medical association, and chairing a continuing education committee for the American Animal Hospital Association. When not working, Dr. Linney enjoys traveling, watching and playing sports, and spending time with his wife and son and their many furry friends.
