Started in 1990, Sonora Veterinary Specialists (SVS) is a multi-specialty practice that offers secondary and tertiary level referral care in the metropolitan Phoenix area. As noted in our mission statement we have several "prime" directives: patient care, patron service, and veterinary education at the professional and post-graduate levels.
Our referral base is broad, offering a wide variety of referrals and a brisk caseload. Our faculty is encouraged in all ways possible to practice at, and to help define, current state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment procedures. The work and interpersonal environment is one where academic growth is encouraged, and where faculty members are carefully selected to preserve practice "chemistry". Our hospital is a unique blend of academia and private practice.
