Veterinary Staff Surgeon
Performing all aspects of veterinary surgeries including general soft tissue, oncologic, reconstructive, orthopedics, ophthalmic and neural surgery; providing perioperative treatment and treatment plans of animal patients; performing and planning diagnostics and treatment plans to small animal patients, including small animal medicine and surgery; dispensing medications to animal patients as required; diagnosing and providing emergency surgery treatment; advising and consulting with referring veterinarians and client owners; providing didactic and clinical training of veterinary interns; participating and directing in daily case rounds, grand rounds and formal discussions pertaining to veterinary surgical topics and techniques; and providing continuing education lectures to local referring Veterinarians.
Requirements – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or foreign degree equivalent in Veterinary Medicine and one year’s experience in the job offered or one year’s experience as a Veterinarian or Veterinary Intern.
